USCC Needs Your Help

USCC Needs Your Help

This is not an appeal for your money.  This is an appeal for your time.

Your synagogue Community Cares group needs you

Demand for their services is increasing and they simply need more volunteers to meet that need. Can you help make this year a happy year for others?

Over 40 US communities have a Community Cares group.  Each group varies according to the needs of the community and the number of volunteers involved.  The types of activities being organised are:

  • senior tea parties
  • dedicated telephone care lines
  • home visits
  • hospital visits
  • help completing benefit forms
  • help for new Mums
  • financial advice
  • legal advice
  • help with shopping
  • bereavement befriending
  • walking members to shul
  • providing transport
  • cooking for people in times of need
  • regular calls to senior members

We organise full training to help develop our volunteers’ skills.  How ever much time you have to spare you can genuinely make a real difference to others in your community.  Please help us to show our members that we care about every one of them.

Please get in touch with your care co-ordinator or your rabbi and offer to get involved.  Or call your shul administrator who can link you to them.  Or you can always call me and I’ll tell you more and put you in touch: Candice 020 8343 5688 email
