Waltham Abbey Cemetery Receives Interactive Touch Screen To Help Visitors

Waltham Abbey cemetery has recently installed a modern computer system that assists visitors to help identify and locate the memorials of their loved ones. It is located where the notice board used to be.

This interactive technology will enable visitors to find a grave more quickly than ever before with its 'friendly' and 'highly intuitive' design. Innovative touch screen technology not only provides visitors with the current daily funerals, but has easy access to important information about their loved ones memorials. It also enables them to print directions to the graveside. Additional functions include search options for ‘Upcoming Stone Settings’, History and Information on Waltham Abbey Cemetery and US Memorial Care Programs and details of Stone Masons.

The kiosk was very kindly donated by Mr. Robert Davies in loving memory of his wife Tamar.

Melvyn Hartog, Head of Burial commented: “This is another step for the Burial Society to step into the 21st century. We have the same set up in Bushey which has proved hugely beneficial to all of our visitors.”
