Tribe to Run Permanent Enrichment Course at Yavneh

As testament to the growing relationship with Yavneh College, Tribe have been offered a permanent weekly slot to run an "Enrichment" session for the rest of the academic year.  The Enrichment programme is a compulsory element of the school's daily schedule for school years 7-9 with students offered the chance to take part in a variety of extracurricular activities including arts and crafts, Challa baking, various sporting activities and many more.

Tribe Sheloshim Project Launched at Jewish Schools

Earlier this week, Tribe Executive Director Rabbi Andrew Shaw visited Hasmonean Girls and Yavneh High Schools to launch the inspiring Tribe ‘Sheloshim’[1] project. In the run up to Yom Hashoah, students will be reading an essay every day from the ‘Sheloshim’ handbook which features 30 essays on Jewish identity and the Holocaust with the project to be completed on Yom Hashoah, Day of Remembrance, on 19th April.

Annual US Women's Quiz

On the 14th March, US Women held their annual quiz with 200 people in attendence. The winning team was from New West End United Synagogue, and joint second place was Kenton and Kingston & Surbiton United Synagogue's.

Mathilda Marks Kennedy School Win Tribe 'Discover Your Voice'

The latest round of the Tribe 'Discover Your Voice' debating competition took place at Hampstead Garden Suburb United Synagogue on Sunday. Mathilda Marks Kennedy were declared the winners in the hotly contested debating sessions against the other competing teams of year six pupils from Hasmonean, Moriah and Wolfson Hillel Primary School. The debates, held under English Speaking Union rules, are unique in the Jewish school community.
