Barnet Synagogue was transformed into a big top with bright colours festooning the walls and ceiling for a Purim afternoon at the circus, organisaed by Rebbetzin Naomi Lerer and her willing committee. Over 140 guests tucked into a delicious Purim Seuda of Burgers, Hot Dogs and Chips followed by jelly and ice cream and of course Hamantashen. There was even a Candy Floss machine to give it the authentic circus feel.
Four young United Synagogue members have produced a CD of all their favourite Jewish songs. Known as 'The Four Sons', George Rosenfeld from New West End, Asher Levy from Finchley US, Noam Bernstein from Hendon US and Jamie Rubenstein from Brondesbury Park US came together at George’s Bar Mitzvah and have enjoyed singing together ever since. For George Rosenfeld music has always been a passion and he sees singing as the voice of the soul. This was a wonderful opportunity to share that passion with close friends, have fun and raise money for charity.
