The Community Fun Run is nearing and US Chesed needs you! The mini marathon is a wonderful opportunity to have raise money for charity and get in some exercise at the same time! If running or walking isn’t your idea of fun, you can still come along for the free fun day with plenty of attractions on offer for all the family.
You can choose whether you do 1km, 5km or 10km, you don’t need to be fit or fast and can take the fun run at your own pace. Past runners have included people with marathon experience, people in fancy dress and mums pushing their babies in buggies across the track! The main aim is to have fun and we hope you will get your friends and community members involved.
This year, we are all money raised by US members will go towards raising essential funds for the US Chesed Bursary fund which helps to ensure that no child misses out on an incredible and inspiring summer with Tribe. The Chesed Bursary Fund was set up to provide financial aid US families who struggle to afford to send their children on Tribe Summer programmes such as Schemes, Residential Camps and Tribe Israel Tour.
In 2011, a variety of US members ran for US Chesed including US Centre staff, youth directors, members of the Chesed Bursary Fund Committee and someone dressed as Morph! Click here to read about last year’s community fun run which raised an incredible £8,500.
